A love letter to another era. The conclusion of a journey.
From day one, Brock’s Earth House Hold project was a love letter to the early days of the San Francisco rave scene, a time of true community, of passion for the music, and memories that live with you forever.
How Deep Is Your Devotion was the conclusion to that journey. As the project continued, the music became more introspective, almost as if memories were slowly beginning to fade away. This artwork was an attempt to hyper focus one last effort to capture those moments of the dancefloor—surrounded by fog and lights and music—recording that one glance, the one image that (even as it gets a little fuzzy over the years) is blazed into your memory forever.
The artwork was created using artwork from the original When Love Lived session—rebuilding & remixing the original ideas & concepts (including outtakes), and bringing a new sense of clarity and perspective to those fading moments.
